Services and history

Beyond Motion Hub exists because in conflict zones, healthcare systems collapse into a single priority: keeping people alive today. When hospitals face constant bombardment and resources vanish, rehabilitation services disappear. But survival is only the beginning of healing.

We are a Canadian nonprofit that emerged from a collective vision. Partners across conflict zones—from Nasser Medical Complex to the orthopedic surgery department at European Hospital in Gaza—wanted a model that could operate at humanitarian speed while treating the whole person: body and soul. They asked for governance that centered the communities we serve, not external organizations making decisions from a distance.

What we do is comprehensive. We deliver 3D-printed prosthetics and orthotics when limb reconstruction centers lie in rubble. We provide physiotherapy protocols that local providers can implement. We built web-based platforms for psychosocial support because trauma doesn't end when physical wounds heal. Our telehealth applications supplement in-person care when personnel and resources are stretched impossibly thin.

How we work matters as much as what we deliver. We supplement existing healthcare infrastructure, never substitute for it. We embed within local hospitals and medical tents, training providers and transferring knowledge that endures. We coordinate through frameworks like the WHO Health Cluster in Gaza, working alongside partners including Mena Health, Spentys software, and the Aidos/Aseel platform. Learning from Gaza Sunbirds, we built systems to mobilize engineers, prosthetists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, project managers, and fundraisers—skilled volunteers who contribute remotely but collaborate in real time.

We show up when systems break. We work within what exists. And we build capacity that remains long after crises evolve.

Partners

Our people are what make us unique. Rather than outsourcing our construction engineers from questionable outsourcing establishments, we provide them with an environment that supports professional growth.

We are strong believers in giving our employees a voice. Our teams are put together with the help of our resident psychologist to ensure maximum productivity and engagement.
